If you've had to cancel your holiday and your insurance provider has asked for a Cancellation Letter to support your claim, we can help with that.
A Cancellation Letter confirms that your booking was cancelled before the holiday started, and includes the details your insurer may need for your claim.
These letters usually confirm things like:
📅 when the booking was cancelled
💰 the total cost of the holiday
💳 any refunds that have already been issued
📄 any remaining non-refundable costs
How to request your Cancellation Letter
When cancelling your holiday through My Bookings, you can request your Cancellation Letter as part of the cancellation process.
☑️ Simply read through the cancellation steps carefully and make sure you tick the checkbox requesting a Cancellation Letter before submitting your request. Once your cancellation has been processed, we'll send the letter over to you.
Already cancelled your holiday?
If your booking has already been cancelled and you didn’t request the letter at the time, just reach out to us on Live Chat 💬 and we’ll be happy to help get one sent over.
Not sure if you need a Cancellation Letter? 🤔
If the booking wasn't cancelled but some or all passengers didn't travel, you'll need a No Show Letter instead.
You can find out how to request one here: 👉 Can I request a No Show insurance letter?
Still unsure which one your insurer needs?
📖 What’s the difference between a Cancellation Letter and a No Show Letter?
⚠️ Important: If a No Show Letter has already been issued for your booking, we won’t be able to provide a Cancellation Letter for the same booking.
A booking can only be recorded as cancelled before travel or a no show, not both.
If you’re unsure which letter your insurer requires, we recommend checking with them first.
