Can I cancel just my hotel?

If your plans have shifted and you are looking to cancel just the hotel part of your holiday, you can now do this directly and quickly through your online account using our self-service cancellation form.

How to Cancel Your Hotel 📱

Simply follow these steps on our app:

  • Log into your My Booking account.

  • Select the holiday you want to change.

  • Click on 'Hotel Details'.

  • Select the 'Cancel Hotel' option. This will open the official Hotel Cancellation Request form for you to fill out and submit straight to our team.

⏳ Critical Deadlines and Cancellation Rules

Before you submit your form, please carefully review the following rules:

  • More than 14 days to departure: Your request will be sent straight to our team. Submitting the form acts as your official agreement, and we will process the cancellation with the hotel supplier with no further contact required.

  • Within 14 days of departure: Your hotel booking is completely locked in by the supplier and is 100% non-refundable. The form will not allow submissions inside this 14-day window.

⚠️ Important Flight, Transfer, Fees & Protection Info

Because flights are completely non-refundable from the exact moment they are booked, cancelling your hotel will change your booking setup:

  • Flights remain active: Your flights will not be cancelled. You remain fully responsible for them and must pay any outstanding balance due on them.

  • Transfers will be cancelled: We will automatically cancel your transfers alongside your hotel. Any eligible transfer refund will be added to your hotel refund or used to reduce an outstanding balance.

  • Admin Fee Applies: A standard £30.00 administration fee will be applied to this change, which will be deducted directly from your refund or added to your remaining balance.

  • Flight-Only Booking: Your trip will officially convert into a flight-only booking.

  • Loss of Package & ATOL Protection: Because you are removing the hotel element, your booking will no longer be covered under the Package Travel Regulations or ATOL protection schemes.

💰 Understanding Your Refund Breakdown

You can view a full, live breakdown of your specific hotel cancellation costs on the 'Cancel your order' summary page before you submit.

  • If hotel costs show as £0.00: You will receive a full refund for the hotel portion of your trip (minus our £30.00 admin fee and any non-refundable transfer fees).

  • If there are costs showing in that section: This indicates supplier fees are being charged. You will receive a refund for the difference between your initial hotel cost and that supplier charge, minus our £30.00 admin fee.

Note: Any approved refunds are automatically returned to your original payment method within 5–7 working days.

Want to Change Your Hotel Instead? 🔄

Before you decide to cancel entirely, remember that you can often change your stay instead! Whether you’ve spotted a different hotel you’d prefer, want to upgrade your room, or change your board basis, you can do it yourself:

  1. Log into My Bookings and select your holiday.

  2. Select 'Manage Booking' in the menu.

  3. Go to 'Make Changes' and select 'Hotel Changes'.
