Cancelling due to health reasons/bereavement/pregnancy

If you need to cancel as you or someone on the booking cannot travel due to health reasons or have gone through a bereavement we’re sorry to hear this. Please follow the steps below to cancel your booking.
  1. Log into your account via the My Booking section of our website.
  2. If on a mobile select ‘Menu’ at the top of the page.
  3. Select Make a Change.
  4. Click Cancel Booking.
On the cancellation page, you'll see a breakdown of costs, showing how much you've already paid. This will include flights, hotel, and any extras like transfers, airport services, and travel insurance.
A few things to keep in mind:
  • Flights: Unfortunately, flights are non-refundable from the moment you book. If you haven't paid for your flights yet, this cost will need to be paid before we can cancel.
  • Hotels: Most hotels offer free cancellations, but this depends on their specific terms and conditions.
  • Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is non-refundable.
  • Transfers and Airport Extras: These can be refunded if cancelled more than 7 days before departure.
A standard cancellation fee of up to £45 per person applies for cancellations.

If you’re due a refund, it’ll be shown as a minus balance under ‘refund amount due’. If there’s an outstanding payment needed to complete the cancellation, it’ll be displayed as a positive balance under ‘payment amount due’.

If you have travel insurance and need to make a claim, you can request a proof of cancellation letter from us. This letter can help you when you’re claiming back funds from your insurance provider.

If you don’t have insurance but have valid proof of why you can’t travel - like a medical document or death certificate - you can contact your airline directly to request a refund. If the airline agrees to refund your flight, please get in touch with us through our live chat system. We’ll be happy to check what we can do for your hotel and transfers.

Important information:
Ryanair no longer cancel and refund due to illness.
If you need to cancel the booking due to illness, you will need to speak to your insurance provider to look to claim back costs if possible.
If you do not have travel insurance, you may wish to consider a name change for the passenger so you do not lose the cost of the flight.

Ryanair will only look into refunding where there has been a bereavement, you can find more information about this on their website: General terms & conditions (ryanair.com)

Cancelling due to pregnancy:

Congratulations on your pregnancy! If you are looking to cancel your booking please follow this link to read up on how to do this: Cancelling the whole booking - On the Beach

Please be aware airlines do not refund for pregnancy so if you are unable to travel and do not want to cancel you can also look into removing passengers or changing dates by going to the ‘Make Changes’ option on your online account/app.
