What to do if you suspect you have been the victim of a scam or fraud

We are aware of reports involving fraudulent third parties who publish unofficial contact details online while claiming to represent On the Beach.

In some cases, customers have contacted these third parties believing they were speaking to us, and were asked to provide security or verification codes sent to their email addresses. Once these third parties have your codes, they can gain unauthorised access to your account and make changes or cancellations.

Furthermore, these scammers may attempt to request payments directly from you. If you are asked to make bank transfers or card payments outside of our official platforms, or if you suspect you have made an illegitimate payment to a company that is not On the Beach, please act immediately.

🔒 Our Security Promise:

On the Beach will NEVER ask you to provide your account verification or login codes over the phone, via email, text message, WhatsApp, or through any other communication channel.

We will also NEVER call or message you out of the blue demanding that you make an urgent payment via a random bank transfer or unsecure link. Genuine payments can only be made securely by logging directly into your official On the Beach account or via secure On the Beach payment links.

📝 Step 1: Complete the Official Scam Reporting Form

To help us investigate the unauthorised activity, please provide the details of your experience as quickly as possible using our secure form:

👉 Submit a Secure Scam Reporting Form Here

  • Why this helps: The information you provide helps us identify fraudulent trends, support ongoing fraud prevention efforts, and investigate any unauthorised reviews or changes made to your holiday.

  • Please note: The purpose of this form is to gather information relating to your suspected scam experience. Submission of this form does not constitute an automatic acceptance of liability, responsibility, or compensation by On the Beach. Any review or action undertaken will be at our discretion, depending on the circumstances of the report and the information available.

🛡️ Step 2: Immediate Steps to Secure Your Personal Information

If you have shared any personal, account, or payment details with an unverified third party, we strongly recommend taking the following protective actions immediately:

  1. Contact Your Bank: Call your bank or card provider straight away using the number on the back of your card. Report the suspected fraudulent contact so they can protect your accounts and monitor for any unauthorised transactions.

  2. Report to Action Fraud: We would also highly encourage you to report the matter directly to Action Fraud (the UK’s national fraud and cybercrime reporting centre) online or by calling them on 0300 123 2040.

  3. Secure Your Email Account: Scammers often intercept or use verification codes sent to your email. Change your email account password immediately and enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) if available.

  4. Update Your My Booking Password: If you can still access your On the Beach account, change your password to a strong, unique alternative right away.

🔮 What happens next?

Once you submit the Scam Reporting Form, your details will be routed directly to our specialist team. They will assess the information, review any unauthorised account changes (such as unrequested cancellations), and contact you directly regarding the next steps for your booking.

Thank you for helping us identify, track, and report suspected fraudulent activity to keep our beach community safe!
